Your worst fear.

Did you know that 82% of web sites who had been banned from participation in AdSense program are banned because of invalid clicks?

This is your only concern - no matter whether you click on your ads or not, invalid clicks exist (especially in first case here).

No one actually knows how google detects invalid clicks (the whole AdSense algorithm is hidden to prevent - or to cause - industrial espionage), but it is most probably the multiple clicks that came from the same IP address. If one IP address clicks for example 10 times, those 10 times will, probably, be reckoned as invalid by Google. If you notice 25 clicks and 0.50$ earnings (already discussed in low earnings ), it probably means that google has detected invalid clicks. Rest assured that Google will do everything in order to separate invalid from valid clicks, but the tips are not to click on your own ads, and don’t ask others to click on your ads. If you notice multiple invalid clicks (example you had 25 clicks with high CTR - over 10%), you should mail google immediately, telling them the time, and some other related things about this unusual activity.
Accidental clicks

Although clicking on your own AdSense is strictly prohibited by Google’s Program Policy and Terms of Service, Google do understand that accidental clicks may occur. They encourage publishers to take precaution measures to avoid accidental clicks, as it increases the risk of getting banned from AdSense participation.

In a posting on AdSense’s official blog, Googe said that there’s no need of e-mailing them each time you notice invalid click activity (rumors say that it costs google more to read your e-mail than to charge the advertiser for that sum and return the money). Google uses both computer-based and human-based system to ensure best click-fraud detection.

However, even if you did mail out Google telling them about the invalid clicks you received, the response will not be “Hi, [your name], thanks, it’s OK”. It would then be easy for you to click several times and mail them out telling those were accidental or invalid clicks.
